It was late when I came home last night after dancing Salsa at tradervic’s. As I stepped out of the car, the coldness pierced through my skin… My fingers were cold… I stopped for a while looked at the sky… The sky was dark blue and clear, there were glowing stars, they smiled at me. My heart was full. I purposely walked slowly so I can feel the breeze…

As I entered my room I felt so comfortable, the room was cosy! I removed my shoes and sat on the bed. I could here the wind slowly hitting against the window. I wish if it was raining and then I can get out of my room and get wet… I remember those days in my childhood, I used to run into rain with my little sister and play around, some times we chased each other while laughing loud or danced in the rain while singing crazily or else climbed the guava tree in my garden while eating slightly ripe guava. That time was great… Then I walked and stopped at the window. I could see the street lamps in the highway and the misty mountain ranges. It reminded me last time I got wet.

It was a Sunday I was returning from the church, I was walking, all of a sudden it started raining, I was over joyed, I opened up my arms like wings and started flying, of course moving on my finger tips! I did not know what people in vehicles passing by thought, I was least bothered about anything else but rain!

“Oh my God! You will melt in rain my chocolate boy or someone will steal you if they see you like this in wet cloths…”

As soon as I came home, my Mom said, and she added,

“You still haven’t got over what you used to do when you were small.. huh?”

I just smiled. She hugged me and kissed my forehead.

I love the way cold rainy drops draw lines on my face and body. I feel free in the rain, I feel as if I am flying… Oh! I love it!

I hope it will rain more this winter! I really want to feel it.
All of a sudden, I felt alone in my room. I looked around, everything is arranged, calm, so homely and cosy, but there is something missing…

I think I need someone to love, be with me, look deep into my eyes and hold my hands…
There are so many who are ready to love me…
But why I didn’t I see the right one? Someone special…
Oh! I don’t know! I rather should not talk about it!

Well, my friends, let me tell you something that would surprise you, I have never been in a relationship! Yes! That is true!

This winter brings me happiness, I hope it will rain more for me to get wet, I am going home in few days time, so I will play around in the rain with my sister, just like small children.

I hope next winter I will not be alone in this room…
No matter what, the winter is my favourite.
